October 2019 Updates: Recap of my 22nd Birthday

Weeeeellll....
October went by pretty quick. 
It's going to be November in a week which is insane. Time has been going by extremely quick but I've made sure to try to make the little moments count most.
So since I've last posted I turned 22, woo!

Anyways, for my birthday I went to my favorite steakhouse, Fogo De Chao and afterwards and watched Men In Black at the Rooftop Cinema Club.

Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian Steakhouse located in several areas in the United States, and lucky me, there is one in San Diego! While I do not like paying for parking, this is one of the few occasions that I don't mind since I'm going to one of my favorite restaurants. If you are a meat lover, this is definitely the place to go. They have a variety of high quality cuts of meat that are all you can eat for $38.95 (lunch) or $58.95 (dinner).

Now I know the price of that is daunting, but if you sign up for their email list, you do get a $25 off for your birthday so hey, at least you saved yourself some money, better than nothing in my opinion.

Guarana, a Brazilian soft drink. It's so tangy and refreshing. I always order this whenever I go to Fogo De Chao!

But my family enjoyed it LOL.


After my lovely feast with my family at Fogo De Chao,  I went to the Rooftop Cinema Club (RCC) which is also located in downtown, specifically at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Since it was September 20th, it was "Raid Area 51" themed. If you don't know what Raid Area 51 is, I suggest you Google it.

The RCC really did give me an experience that I've never had before. They provided several blankets to use during the movie (you come right before the sunsets and stay until the movie finishes which is after sunset), games to play while waiting for the movie, a mini photo booth, unlimited popcorn (who can resist unlimited popcorn 🤤), snack bar, and headphones.

Unfortunately I accidentally spilled this all over my purse and didn't even get to finish it, oops.

What I really liked was that everyone had their own personal headphones which they could adjust the volume on. This was also really convenient because if you got up to go grab more snacks or drinks during the movie, you are still aware of what is going on. 

Basically to sum up my 22nd birthday, I really enjoyed it and I hope to get the change to go to the RCC soon when they open back up during the holiday season.

Back to School Healthy Eating Habits

Now that college is back in session for everyone (I know it has been in session and I'm a little late but that is what happens when you're taking 17 units haha), you know what that means if you are a commuter, it is time to start packing lunch again! Packing lunch is not only a good way to save money, but it also has a huge impact on your health!
